Tumbleweed Highway

Tumbleweed Highway

For the past ten years or more, the members of Tumbleweed Highway have been part of the Americana scene in Upstate New York. Gathering stories from the road and life in a way only a storyteller could.

After the dissolving of a few popular bands, it was only time before a band like Tumbleweed Highway was formed.

Rising from the ashes of bands such as Panhandle, Fetish Lane and the Tim Heron Corporation, Tumbleweed Highway blends together the sounds and influences of all their previous families and infuses in new sounds pulling from the depths of their creativity.

With a strong acoustic root to the band, their sound is unmistakably derived from the likes of John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, Lyle Lovett and Gram Parsons. Crafted songs and well rehearsed 5-part vocal harmonies are a strong concentration for the band. At times you hear the resonance of vocal groups like Poco but with raw talent of The Avett Brothers and The Zak Brown Band.

The members of Tumbleweed Highway have shared the stage with legends such as Levon Helm, Arlo Guthrie, Steve Earle, Jim Lauderdale, Donna the Buffalo, and the Marshall Tucker Band. These experiences have made Tumbleweed Highway a class act across the North East.

All the members of Tumbleweed Highway are grateful to be performing together and it comes across to the audience night after night. Every performance is an exciting experience for the ears of their listeners as a new fan is gained each night they perform.
